GUEST TALK by Prof. Hung-Po-yi, National Taiwan University

THROUGH THE LENS OF TEA, 21 octobre 2025, 10h @ LISE

Placing Tea: Mobility, Territory, and the Agri-food Transfer between Taiwan and the Southeast Asian Highlands is an illuminating exploration of Taiwan’s identity and its complex relationships with Thailand, Vietnam, and the broader global landscape through the lens of tea. It examines how the mobility of tea—spanning its varieties, processing techniques, and the people who cultivate and consume it—reshapes Taiwan’s territoriality and challenges traditional notions of borders.
